IKIGAI. It rolls of the tongue, doesn’t it? No doubt you’ve heard of it and or seen the four circle diagram. As a lover of concepts and processes, as well as the free flow of creativity, I latched onto this as soon as I discovered it.

But… I was disappointed in my search to find the real purpose and meaning behind it. It seemed that no one could really explain it in a way that made sense to me. Was it about finding something in life that had purpose and meaning? Was it about why we were on Earth, learning…

Let’s start with that question — is it time to do what you love?

What comes up when you ask yourself the question? Do you smugly smile at the screen and tell me I am. Or, are you feeling a little off key and wishing that you could find the thing or turn your thing into profitable products?

It can feel rather overwhelming — can’t it?

I adore helping people to turn their stories into products — books, courses, programs, blogs etc. …

Trust belongs in the root chakra (level one of the foundations of you). It’s foundational because without trust how to we build for example our confidence or learn to trust our hearts again.

I remember as a child I believed I could fly. I trusted that this was possible, so I threw myself off the top of the stairs. Luckily my dad who knew better just happened to be standing at the bottom of the stairs caught me. My days of flying in that way were over.

But it never stopped me trying things out, getting hurt, learning from the…

Stress and anxiety can strike the best of us at any time and especially so right now. I’m normally pretty chilled and not much phases me. But I have noticed that I am more easily triggered into a bit of extra swearing.

Yesterday I was recording for my latest course, when the furry ones decided that barking (and more barking) was in order. They took me by surprise as I was almost at the end of a lecture and deeply engrossed. I was a tad cross, but soon flipped into laughter, because that is how my girls make me feel…

I awoke this morning to a flooded kitchen. My labour saving reverse osmosis water machine had sprung a leak. I left it last night with a slow drip, a towel and a bowl to catch the water.

Of course, sense would dictate that I should have turned the water off. But as I hadn’t slept well the night before and was completely exhausted, this was the best I could do.

It was while I was mopping and thinking about tonights writing retreat that the words who do you want to become came to me. I had been thinking about the…

When you are developing your intuition and listening skills, a good place to start is understanding what the main way that you communicate is.

Lots of misunderstandings could be avoided if we listened in a different way. Listening requires you to concentrate and use your other senses in addition to simply hearing the words spoken.

I often find it difficult if people go into too much detail and drone on in a communication style that doesn’t match mine. This is when my journal or pen and paper is my best friend. …

What is a vision board?

In the simplest terms, a vision board is a collection of images that represent a goal from your bucket list. The aim of this tool is to focus your energy on a particular goal/dream/desire you have. As you find and display the images, you hone your sense of what you want to achieve, making your goals increasingly more concrete.

Vision boards are unique to the person, making them, you can use them to represent any part of your life. There are no rules to size or how you do them. …

No one is full of confidence all the time, and everyone has times of low self-esteem and low self-worth. It’s a bummer when it happens. One minute you are full of the joys of whatever season it is and the next wham!

And it’s a sneaky one…

This confidence review and circle exercise have been there to support me when I knew something was coming up. I used this yesterday with a client and I am waiting to hear how things went!

Let’s start with a confidence review

The lack of trust in our own abilities can be damaging to our potential, as it can stop…

It’s curious how things synchronistically come to remind you of what needs to be dealt with. On Friday a lovely friend was talking about not feeling good enough, which reminded me of an affirmation -

I am enough, I have always been enough, and I will always be enough and a journaling prompt — I deserve.

On Saturday night I did a wonderful full moon releasing ceremony with Yasmin Boland (Moonology fame). But strangely on Sunday although I felt ok-ish something was not right. I was soon to be triggered back into that feeling of not feeling good enough. …

It’s the final stretch of 2020 as the sun moves into Sagittarius — my sign. It’s been a long and tiring year for many, and I guess one which we all wish had been a little different.

Journaling and walking the furry ones have kept me sane. While I love my own company, I now have cabin fever big time and need to get out more. My moon in Cancer likes to keep me in my shell — but no more! …
